Tribute to Heroes Evening Program and Enrichment Visit

Wednesday’s Enrichment Visit will be at the National World War II museum, the 8th ranked museum in the world.  Included in registration, attendees will tour the museum exhibits, view a private showing of Beyond All Boundaries, a 4-D film produced and narrated by Tom Hanks, followed by the Tribute to Heroes evening program.

2014 Theme of “The Day”

A Day on the INLETS is a one day seminar with presentations on a specific theme.  With presentations by local instructors, the seminars are held throughout the region.  A nominal fee provides the full day of instruction, continental breakfast, lunch, and continuing education units for civilians and In Service credit for sworn law enforcement.  These seminars are open to Law Enforcement, Defense and Intel entities, InfraGard members and when appropriate, audiences of a specific industry or critical infrastructure.

Our focus of this year’s A Day on the INLETS takes an in-depth look at the current threats facing school and work place violence.  Using historical empirical data, case studies, press and media clips, these presentations provide the attendees a fundamental look at the commonalities, indicators, and motivations behind planned attacks occurring today.

Where last year’s theme focused on Threats to our Community, including 101 versions of Gangs, Identity Theft, Human Trafficking, and Sovereign Citizens, this year we take a look at indicators of threats facing our school, work and public gathering places.

Please note: At this time we will not be offering this program again in 2014.  We are currently planning our 2015 theme.

2014 Special Focus Program

Our special program in early 2014 delved into the use of CCTV systems.  A former member of MI5 presented case studies to attendees on how CCTV aided in the investigation of several terror plots in the United Kingdom.  This excellent program was geared towards law enforcement and private sector alike.  For more information, click here.

Our upcoming special program will look at terrorism financing and fraud.  Subject matter experts from the FBI and other agencies will present up to date information on trends investigators are seeing in the way terror groups finance their criminal activity.  This event is scheduled to be in Wilmington, DE on December 10, 2014.  For more info, click here.

Our full day programs are taught by subject matter experts from federal, state, and local agencies, as well as the private sector.  Presenters have come from the FBI Critical Incident Response Group program’s including the National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime program, the Counter IED program, and the Evidence Response Team, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and the British Security Service (MI5).

Continuing Education Credits for civilians & In-Service Credits for sworn law enforcement are typically available for the Day on the INLETS programs.
Previous programs have covered lessons learned from the September 11, 2001 attacks. For more information about that program please click here
