A Day on the INLETS: Eastern Shore
Elements of an Active Shooter
A Day on the INLETS is a one-day program providing general session, classroom-style instruction.Â
When possible, it is certified for continuing education credit and Law Enforcement In-Service credit through Maryland’s Police Training Commission and transferable to other states.
Subject Matter Experts offer topics including:
- The pre-behavior indicators of violent offenders
- The civilian’s response to an active shooting event
- The trends of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED)
- The important role that Media plays
- The impact of Victim Assistance programs
- The totality of the above demonstrated through a case study
- The essential roles of a Behavioral Assessment Team
- Accounting for different types of offenders
- and other topics
Past offerings have been held throughout the DMV region from Maryland’s Deep Creek Lake, convenient to Pittsburgh, PA, and Morgantown, WV, to Ocean City reaching the Eastern shore and the Virginia Capes. From Wilmington, DE with proximity to South Jersey and Philadelphia, to Quantico, VA, commutable from Richmond and Washington, DC.
This program is well received averaging 150 attendees from 100 agencies and companies, across seven states.
