Kim “KC” Campbell, Colonel, US Air Force (ret.) was a fighter pilot and senior military leader with more than 100 combat missions in the A-10 Warthog, protecting troops on the ground in both Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2003, Kim was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for Heroism after successfully recovering her battle-damaged airplane after an intense close air support mission.

Visual Intelligence with Amy Herman, Featured Presenter
Amy Herman, who has degrees in law and art history, returns to INLETS bringing her message of the Art of Perception: how to assess, analyze, and articulate what we observe. To practice these skills, she presents numerous works of art integrating with responding to real-life crime. Featured at TED Talks, she regularly instructs for the FBI, CIA, NYPD, and other major companies, including Google.
The Gilgo Beach Serial Killer with Rodney Harrison, Commissioner, Suffolk County PD (ret.)
Also known as the Long Island Serial Killer, the Manorville Butcher, or the Craigslist Ripper, the Gilgo Beach serial killings were a series of murders spanning from the early 1990s until 2011 in Suffolk County, New York. The cold case investigation led to the June 2024 arrest of Rex Heuermann, a Manhattan architect and resident of Long Island, has been charged in the murders.

Assassination Attempt in Salisbury, UK with New Scotland Yard
The Salisbury Poisonings, was a botched assassination attempt to poison a former Russian military officer and double agent for the British Intelligence in the city of Salisbury, England. The target and his daughter were poisoned by means of a Novichok nerve agent. They lost their home and all their possessions because of contamination. Investigators said that the perfume bottle containing the nerve agent contained enough to potentially kill thousands of people. Health units built a seal around the property and a military team dismantled and removed the buildings. This was repeated at 12 other locations throughout the small town.

She has presented to the NYPD, the FBI, the French National Police, the Department of Defense and Intelligence agencies.She is the founder and president of The Art of Perception, Inc., a New York-based organization that conducts professional development courses to leaders around the world including at the FBI, CIA, Scotland Yard, and the Peace Corps. Herman was also the Director of Educational Development at Thirteen/WNET, the educational public television station serving New York and New Jersey, and the Head of Education at The Frick Collection for over ten years, where she oversaw all of the Collection’s educational collaborations and community initiatives.
An art historian and attorney, Herman holds a BA in International Affairs from Lafayette College, a JD from the National Law Center at George Washington University, and an MA in Art History from Hunter College. She is a member of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. Herman channeled her dual degrees in art and law to create the successful Art of Perception program, and now trains thousands of professionals from Secret Service agents to church fundraisers. Brig Barker is the President and Special Programs Officer for the Blue Atlas Group which is an
AI innovation and solutions company serving law enforcement, the U.S. government, and private
industry.Brig is a retired FBI agent having held positions from counterterrorism case agent to senior
advisor embedded with DOD Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). Prior to the FBI, he served
five years as an Army officer in the 82nd Airborne with various deployments to include that to Northern
Iraq.During his FBI career, he spent the majority of his time on a Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) with
15 overseas deployments to Africa and the Middle East. He originally spent five years working as a case
agent on a JTTF where he was a SWAT operator and FBI certified sniper. Further, Mr. Barker was a
JTTF Squad Supervisor and Counterterrorism Program Coordinator in two separate FBI offices.In addition, Mr. Barker was selected and served as the embedded Senior FBI Advisor at USSOCOM based
in Tampa, Florida for two years. In 2015, he completed a deployment to Tunisia working ISIS and Libya
matters. Mr. Barker further deployed to Nairobi, Kenya and Kampala, Uganda in 1998 as part of the Al
Qaida Embassy Bombings investigation, and later to Cairo, Egypt immediately after the attacks on
9/11/2001. In 2006, Mr. Barker opened the Freetown, Sierra Leone FBI Attaché office where he led the
acclaimed Blood Diamonds investigation. He further was the primary counterterrorism interrogation
instructor for the FBI Training Division for two years during which he was also an instructor for the FBI
National Academy program where he taught a course on counterterrorism strategies for local law
enforcement. Mr. Barker is an FBI trained Arabic speaker and is conversational in Farsi and German.He developed and has taught Survival Arabic for Law Enforcement for over 10 years. He is the author of the
book, “The Dark Trajectory of Jihad”, and has 15+ Counterterrorism articles professionally published in
Law Enforcement and military publications to include the primary interrogation article for the West Point
Counterterrorism textbook, Terrorism and Political Islam. His masters thesis, “Decoding the Language of

Erik Kleinsmith has over 30 years experience in intelligence and security as a U.S. Army military intelligence officer, defense contractor, academic, author and cold case investigator. Erik gained US national notoriety related to his involvement in the Able Danger program as the military lead of a team of analysts profiling and mapping Al Qaeda prior to 9/11.
In the commercial environment as defense contractor, Erik created a series of intelligence training courses and programs for the US Army and other Intel Community members growing his portfolio to over 150 instructors and over $30 Million (US) in annual revenue.
He is one of the main subjects of the 2010 book, “The Watchers: The Rise of America’s Surveillance State” by Shane Harris and is the vice-chairman of The Case Breakers, a private investigative group that has tackled cold cases such as DB Cooper, the Zodiac Killer, and Jimmy Hoffa of which the Cooper Case has been turned into a docuseries on Netflix in June 2022. Erik is also the author of many related articles and the 2020 book entitled Intelligence Operations: Understanding Data, Tools, People, and Processes.

Lead, Strategic Alliances, National Security Systems, FBI BAU Profiler (ret.)Stephanie Yanta joined NEC NSS in September 2022 and directs NEC NSS’s Strategic Alliances Program. Amongst other duties, Stephanie expertly aggregates partners and technologies to fill existing and emerging technology gaps for all of the U.S. Government including the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources, FVEY partners and trusted allies. Stephanie develops and nurtures NSS’s partner relationships including marshalling and amalgamating necessary resources to fill mission- critical needs and achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction. Stephanie is part of NSS’s Countering Insider Threat Team and is a staunch supporter of countering all forms of human trafficking and forced labor.
Stephanie has extensive experience within the Intelligence Community and government service having retired from
the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) with ~25 years of service.While at the FBI, Stephanie held several leadership positions and worked a variety of violations including as a member of the Cold Case Homicide Squad, the Safe Streets Task Force, the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), and Cyber Engagement Unit. Notably, Stephanie was an integral part of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) and served as a Certified FBI BAU “Profiler.” As a Profiler, Stephanie focused on providing behavioral-based support to matters of counterterrorism and other crimes involving acts or threats of targeted violence.
Stephanie mastered working alongside other certified Profilers, Mental Health Professionals and case teams to both dissuade and disrupt potential offenders’ efforts to engage in violence. Stephanie was regularly sought and often requested to provide BAU-related training to a myriad of consumers within law enforcement, the Justice Department and communities both in the U.S. and overseas – a trend that continues today.
During her FBI tenure, Stephanie was the case agent of the largest drug seizure in the history of the D.C. area, and she was a member of the Hazardous Materials Response Team. Stephanie has extensive experience operating in overseas environments having deployed to the Middle East, Afghanistan three times, Europe and Africa.
Remarkably, Stephanie earned the highest award within the Department of Justice, the Attorney General’s Award, for her leadership during the May 2010 Times Square attempted bombing/terrorism event. As a true believer in teamwork, Stephanie was a co-founder of the FBI Washington Field Office’s Touchstone group – an FBI-led private sector outreach effort.
She earned her Master’s Degree in 2012 from the Naval Postgraduate School having completed her Master’s Thesis on the Touchstone Project. Both a revolutionary and evolutionary endeavor, many of Touchstone’s engagement and information sharing principles are still being leveraged by the FBI.
Stephanie is originally from Valparaiso, Indiana and earned Bachelors of Arts degrees in both History and Political Science from Indiana University. She was a member of the Indiana University ROTC program through which she earned her commission as a Military Intelligence (MI) officer in the Indiana Army National Guard. Stephanie achieved the rank of Captain (O-3). Amongst a variety of assignments as an Intelligence Officer (G-2/S-2), a highlight of Stephanie’s military service included her selection as the first – and first female – Company Commander (HHC) for the then newly formed 638th MI Battalion in Indiana.

Chief, Crime Strategies and Intelligence Bureau, Queens County (NY) District Attorney’s OfficeSince May 2021, Shanon LaCorte has been the Bureau Chief of the Queens County District Attorney’s Office Crime Strategies and Intelligence Bureau “CSIB”, which has reimagined the intelligence-driven prosecution model by identifying and preventing emerging threats to public safety. Under Chief LaCorte, CSIB has emerged as a leader in the effort to rid the community of personally manufactured firearms, or Ghost Guns.
CSIB is comprised of Assistant District Attorneys, Intelligence Analysts, Detective Investigators all utilizing cutting-edge law enforcement tools to improve public safety. CSIB focuses prosecutorial resources on proactively reducing and preventing criminal activity, particularly violent criminal offenses and gun trafficking. In addition to initiating proactive investigations, CSIB has assisted prosecutors and investigators in hundreds of cases regarding the analysis of social media intelligence, complex digital evidence, ballistic evidence analysis, expert testimony, and statistical data.
Mr. LaCorte is recognized by the New York New Jersey High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) as a subject matter expert and has provided law enforcement training in the areas of Personally Manufactured Firearms, Organized Retail Theft, and Cannabis Enforcement. Prior to leading this Bureau, Shanon LaCorte was Special Counsel at the New York State Attorney General’s Statewide Organized Crime Task Force where he spent five years conducting long-term wiretap investigations into complex criminal enterprises related to firearms trafficking, narcotics distribution, organized retail and auto theft rings, and organized crime.
Mr. LaCorte previously served in the New York State Attorney General’s Criminal Enforcement and Financial Crimes Bureau where he prosecuted numerous individuals for running multimillion dollar Ponzi schemes and fraudulent investment funds in violation of New York State’s Martin Act. Prior to that, Mr. LaCorte served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office where he was responsible for the investigation and mprosecution of violent felonies including attempted murder, robbery, assault, larceny, and burglary. Mr. LaCorte started his career as a litigation associate at the New York City law firm of Schulte Roth and Zabel, LLP where he assisted in the representation of financial institutions in federal and state civil actions related to Anti-Money Laundering, Insider Trading, and Securities Fraud.
He received his juris doctor from American University in Washington DC, and his Bachelor of Arts from Union College in Schenectady New York.
Rodney W. Harrison

Rodney K. Harrison is a police officer and administrator who recently served as the Police Commissioner of the Suffolk County Police Department. He previously served in the New York City Police Department where he achieved the highest uniform rank, Chief of department.
Harrison began his career with the NYPD as a cadet in 1991. He became a Police Officer on June 30, 1992. Harrison was assigned as an undercover in the Narcotics Division, and in 1995 he was promoted to detective.
Harrison was named the Commanding Officer of the 28th and 32nd Precincts in Harlem. In 2014 he was selected by then Commissioner Bratton to be second-in-command in Staten Island following the killing of Eric Garner by police. Harrison was promoted to Chief of Patrol where he oversaw the implementation of the Neighborhood Policing Program.
In December 2019, Harrison was named the first black Chief of Detectives in the NYPD’S 175-year history.
In 2021, Harrison was promoted to Chief of department, the highest-ranking uniform member of the department. Harrison announced his retirement from the NYPD in November 2021.
On December 21, 2021, it was announced that Harrison was nominated to be the Police Commissioner of Suffolk County. He was unanimously approved by the Suffolk County Legislature. Harrison became the first black Police Commissioner in the Department’s history.
