For those that missed it, in June 2016 we looked at from where it began with the 1993 terror attack on the World Trade Center in New York City to the 2014 UC Santa Barbara active shooter event in California. And with the Ferguson Forensic and the CiCi Pizza Restaurant Police Assassination case studies, we looked at the new targeted threats facing law enforcement today.

Las Vegas, Nevada: The FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit will share a case study of a domestic terrorist attack which targeted and killed two Las Vegas Metro Police officers during lunch and the events of the responding officers.

Ferguson Investigation Case Study

Ferguson, Missouri: Case Agents from FBI St. Louis will share the case study comparing widely reported information, various witness statements, and the forensic analysis of crime scene evidence.

Isla Vista Mass Murder Case Study

Isla Vista, California: Lead investigators of the Santa Barbara Sheriffs Office will share a case study of an active shooter targeting students of University of California, Santa Barbara throughout the college town of Isla Vista.

Enrichment Activity

Since 2014, On the INLETS has offered an enrichment activity to a local historical or educational site. This year, we will visit Washington, DC’s International Spy Museum and after, attendees can walk to the National Law Enforcement Memorial, and the National Mall.
